Mermaid Musings

Oktoberfest in the city of Beaumont was my first outing with the Mermaid Lounge Boutique. I had the most amazing time meeting all of the people that came into the Lounge. The weather was beautiful too. There were times when there were so many people shopping at once. I can only say, it was the most amazing experience. Everyone was so generous with their compliments, saying how awesome it was, how great everything looked. No one could believe I had done most of the work myself,  

Lauren and I had a blast in Las Vegas at the International Lingerie Show. So much to see. It was almost overwhelming. We met some really great lingerie reps who helped us navigate our first show. We even managed to get our picture in a trade magazine! (Yes, I'm still using Michelle's Marketplace because I haven't officially changed my business name)  

I love the saying "It takes a village" because that is exactly what success does, take a village. My mom was my number one helper in getting the Lounge ready to roll. The hubby even helped out a bit! From the prep work, painting, laying the floor, building the racks, and installing the fixtures, it has been nothing but amazing. I'm loving every minute of it.
